ANZWG has been supporting Rejoice Charity almost since its inception nine years ago with monthly funds for milk powder and support with one off projects.
Bangkok Guide has placed an advertisement detailing their good work and contact details free of charge in our last four editions. A large proportion of the funds raised from Melbourne Cup 2004 went into their building fund for their new complex in Chiang Mai. Over the years the amount of money donated monthly for the purchase of milk powder has varied, some years we have given up to B50,000 per month. ANZWG currently funds their total cost of milk powder for HIV affected babies or babies of HIV affected women. This is presently an ongoing commitment of B15,000 per month or B180,000 annually. As mentioned in the In-touch magazine the British Women's Group are hosting The Combined Women's Lunch on the Thursday 15th May 10 am to 3 pm.
Location: Oriental Hotel (Great Place).
Tickets are 1800 baht.
This years theme is '007 Licence to Lunch', dress to kill or national dress.
But this does not mean you have to dress up, if you choose not to dress up then smart daywear is ok.
Lotus Crystal Shopping, Shopping, Shopping
This month we will travel to Rayong to the Lotus Crystal sale. There will be a great selection of crystal and china at discount prices. A tour of the factory to see the process of making and decorating the crystal pieces is also included.
You will need to bring a packed lunch and a drink.
Each month ANZWG welcomes its new members with a morning tea and a get together.
