Samut Sakhon On The Mahachai Railway
The Mae-Kolong-Mahachai Railway runs between Wong Wian Yai and Samut Songkhram on the Gulf of Thailand.  It was originally constructed as a private line to take sea produce from the fishing ports of Samut Songkhram to the markets of Bangkok. This line passes through villages and countryside and terminates in the middle of a fresh food market in Samut Sakhon.

Rickshaws, fresh seafood and markets abound. So bring your money for lunch at a riverside restaurant and you may wish to purchase fresh seafood at the markets as well.  Chilly bins and Eskie's can be purchased there.

We will catch the train to Samut Sakhon at 9.40am (it takes one hour) and leave at 1.15pm arriving in BKK at 2.15pm.
