Welcome to the Australian-New Zealand Women's Group
For more than 50 years, the Australian-New Zealand Women's Group (ANZWG) has played a major part in the lives of many expatriates who have been lucky enough to reside in Bangkok, a fascinating yet at times challenging city. ANZWG's main role is to promote friendship amongst its members and to encourage them to support each other during their stay here in Thailand.
ANZWG is a dynamic group of varying ages and differing interests - with the common link being Australia and New Zealand. The enthusiasm of our members and commitment to the group have ensured its continued success.
We organise a calendar of social and fundraising events, a mixture of activities from exploring Bangkok, to sporting activities or activities with a social theme. A highlight every year is the Melbourne Cup Charity Luncheon held on the first Tuesday in November and considered Bangkok's social event of the year.
ANZWG is also well known for its community service work, fundraising efforts and its two impressive publications. The Bangkok Guide: the Essential Guide to Living in Bangkok is in its 20th edition and provides a wealth of local knowledge and information to make settling into and living in Bangkok all that much easier. The Bangkok Guide: Relocation Essentials (eBook) prepares expatriates for their move to and initial establishment in Bangkok. As all proceeds from both publications go to Thai charities, the books have provided health and education opportunities for Thai women and children for nearly 50 years.
